Can Leaders Use Blogs and Are They Beneficial?

There are a lot of leaders out there who are very afraid to touch technology peices such as the blog due to either lack of knowledge or lack of time to effectively use this web tool. If he or she would use this type of tool, they would be able to reach a much wider audience.

Leaders can use blogs to accomplish 3 simplistic things:

1.) Providing information to students, parents, and the community are easily attainable, easily manipulated document format (to be translated, accessed, or downloaded 24/7).

2.) Allow staff to provide feedback on a variety of levels from faculty/staff meetings to surveys.

3.) Maintain contact with other school leaders to keep an ongoing virtual conversation to compare notes or to evaluate successful practices in the field of education administration.
